INSECURITY: FISUOAU TREASURER, OTHER DECLARED MISSING, OAU CSO CLEARS AIR ON SITUATION

The Federation of Ijesha Students' Union, OAU chapter has declared that its treasurer, Comrade Agbeja Ibukun Popularly known as Fisher is missing. According to a viral statement,  Agbeja Ibukun was called to the OAU Investigating Unit two weeks ago but has not been making any appearance since then.
Another student, Adebayo Nurudeen, was also invited to the Investigation Unit by the OAU security officers. Students raised concerns about the situation and were forced to continuously raise alarm for security.
 While answering the allegations raised by the Security Department, the Chief Security Officer, Mr. Oyatokun debunked the rumors that the students were kidnapped, but were rather arrested by the Investigation Unit of the Security Department of the University.
Furthermore, Mr. Oyatokun urges students and staff of the university to remain calm as the Investigation continues. He also stated that the University Security Department has handed over the suspected students who were involved in an earlier violent activity to an external security agency.

PROTESTERS HALT ONGOING CLASS, ORDER STUDENT OUT

Sequel to the death of a fellow student, many OAU students have taken to the street to make known their grief and dissatisfaction about the jungle justice made by the great Awo resident that led to the death of a part 5 student of the faculty of technology.  Currently, the peaceful protesters blocked the main road leading to the campus gate, leaving many stranded and some trekking their way to and off campus.  Likewise, a hold has been put on lectures as the protestors are seen chasing people out of the lecture room and demanding that all students return to their various hostels.  One such was witnessed when a class held at the amphitheater was interrupted by the protesters and the over 500 students present were ordered out of the place, although students are still present around the academics area and there was no case of violence as of now.  This amongst many other activities hindrance of transportation has been the aftermath of the recent incident. These bats play a crucial role in maintaining the balance of the campus ecosystem. They are insectivorous, meaning they feed on insects, helping to control the population of pests such as mosquitoes. This is especially important in a tropical climate like Nigeria where mosquito-borne diseases are prevalent.
