ACJOAU Welcomes New Members, Focuses on Navigating Challenges in Campus Journalism
By Ferguson Amarachi Glory The Association of Campus Journalists, Obafemi Awolowo University, ACJOAU held its 2024 induction ceremony for new members on December 7, 2024. The event, themed "Campus Journalism: Navigating Challenges, Embracing Growth, and Shaping Stories," welcomed fresh faces into the community, marking the start of their journey as campus journalists. The program commenced at 9:50 am with opening prayers, followed by the OAU school anthem and introduction of the inductees. Olabode Oluwafemi, the president of ACJOAU, welcomed the new intakes, reminding them that journalism plays a vital role in serving the public. He urged the inductees to embrace the challenges of campus journalism, noting that "it would not be a smooth ride all through".
