JUSTICE MUST PREVAIL, AHIZE'S CLASS REPRESENTATIVE CRIES OUT

"Ahize, popularly known as King was a very cool and easygoing guy within the department, he served as the Director of Socials of the Department when we were in Part 3, and my relationship with him presented him as a very responsible fellow". The class of representative of the deceased told Great Ife Network.

It's no longer News that Okoli Ahize an OAU finalist of the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Technology Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife was confirmed dead on arrival at the Obafemi Awolowo Teaching Hospital (OAUTHC) on Tuesday, 11th April 2023 after being accused of theft at the Awolowo Hall of residence, after he was beaten by an angry mob at the Awolowo hall of residence.

Great Ife Network in her efforts to establish facts alongside the truth, our correspondence went out for further investigation to the demised department where we were able to meet with the Class Representative of the demised identified as Ayomide Ogunsanmi.

Ayomide explained the shock and misfortune the entire course mates of Arinze is experiencing at the very moment when they got informed about the death of the deceased.

He affirmed that Ahize his classmate was popularly known as King within and out of the department, he served as the Director of Socials in the Department when they were in Part 3, and that he was occasionally his lab partner due to the proximity of their matric number. According to him, He is not the one who we'd say did so (steal) out of lack of needs but he'd consider the allegation placed on him as a magnificent misfortune or probably he was at the wrong place at the wrong time because the allegation isn't valid and as of the moment he was speaking with us NO SOURCE NOR STATEMENT HAS CONFIRMED IF ARINZE WAS  THE CULPRIT OF THE ACTUAL THEFT SAGA.

In the course of the interaction, our correspondence raised a question about the rumor that Ahize was paraded last semester for fake transfer but he responded that he had no idea about it, or he'd rather call it a pig lie because he didn't see any news to that effect and neither was the department contact about such action, had it been he was paraded, the Head of the department, and even the whole of the department would be informed about it as it's in OAU culture. He said,  if there was more to Ahize's death, the authorities in charge are working to unravel the truth behind the whole action, and the truth will be revealed when their investigations are concluded.

According to him, justice will prevail when those responsible are brought to the book, it doesn't matter if he stole or not anymore, it's now a case of manslaughter.

"Speaking for the entirety of the department now, the department was saddened by the loss of their brother, friend, and classmate. He added that they lost a classmate to cancer early this session, and seeing another one of us die is a painful experience. He prays for the repose of his soul, comfort for his family, and justice for his untimely death.
