An OAU Student's Guide to Managing Stress.

It's that time of the semester again, and the overwhelming classes, fellowship meetings, and various activities might make you crave a break—all because of one word: STRESS. Stress is nearly inevitable for every OAU student; even walking from one class to another can be draining. That's why we've compiled a short guide to help you manage stress effectively.
### Healthy Living
Eating fruits, vegetables, and nourishing meals should not be underestimated. Regular exercise and maintaining overall well-being are crucial for OAU students. Falling sick during tests and exams due to poor stress management is something you want to avoid.
### Good Time Management
OAU students have a lot on their plate unless you're the rare student who skips classes or doesn't take assignments seriously. Plan your day before stepping into a new one. Set specific times for each task, and using a planner with alarms can be helpful.
### Journal keeping
Taking breaks when feeling overwhelmed to jot down thoughts in a journal is another effective stress management method. It promotes clear and positive thinking, alleviating the frustration of academic stress.
### Finding Flairs
Discover something you love doing that you can regularly engage in to unwind and relax your mind. Having a hobby that serves as a stress reliever is highly beneficial.
### Relationships and Communities
Sometimes, being alone isn't the best way to handle stress. Having a friend to confide in or a community of individuals with similar interests can be effective. In essence, having a good support system.
### Maintaining Balance
It's easy to get distracted with numerous activities as an OAU student. Understanding yourself and what works for you is crucial to avoid feeling overwhelmed.

In conclusion, stress is almost unavoidable for an OAU student, but what makes a difference is how you manage it. Taking proactive steps towards a healthier lifestyle, effective time management, and building a support system can significantly contribute to reducing stress levels.
