OAU CONVOCATION: AN AVENUE TO ENLARGE THE COAST OF YOUR STOMACH

Obafemi Awolowo University began its 47th Convocation Ceremony on Wednesday 6th December, 2023. The Convocation Ceremony week is a week students look forward to because it is a week of students celebrating with their senior colleagues and also getting plates of food and drinks to last for days. Over time, the Convocation Ceremony is a celebratory ceremony where degrees are conferred upon graduating students. In this ceremony, the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Provost, and Faculty Deans are dressed in regalia to award students who emerge as the best in the whole university and at the faculty level when on stage. Once graduates are hooded and cross the stage, they have officially graduated. Spiderweb: A Way To Treat Wounds

In ancient Greece and Rome, doctors used spider webs to make bandages for their patients. Spider webs supposedly have natural antiseptic and anti-fungal properties, which can help keep wounds clean and prevent infection. It’s also said that spider webs are rich in vitamin K, which helps promote clotting. Spider webs are incredibly strong. It’s made from silk produced from the body proteins of the spider, turning it into silk through spinnerets. Using cobwebs or spider webs has been done since ancient times when Greeks and Romans treated wounded soldiers with them to stop bleeding.        The Faculty of Arts Students Association, OAU, has postponed her election for the second time today, 30th May 2023.  Recall that the election was postponed the first time due to a claim that the electoral chairman was acting on his opinion and due to some eruptions the election was rescheduled for today 30th May, 2023.      Reports reveal that the Faculty of Arts election has been extended because of the unavailability of Part 3 religious studies students who had a field trip today. It was said that the department in question is projecting President and Sports Director Candidate.       On the spur of the moment, the postponement was announced to the indignation of the students of the Faculty of Arts who had gone en masse to render unflinching support to their respective candidates.
